Penny and I spent a quiet Easter day at home.  It sure isn't easy trying to keep this little girl calm.  She loves to zoom around and also torment her sister and brother.

I spoke to Penny's vet, Dr. Cindy yesterday to inform her of our cardiologists appointment date.  It was then the urgency and disbelief set in when she said " I hope Penny makes it until then."

I pray she does too.  I am staying positive and hopeful.

I ask if you are able to please donate to save Penny's life.  Any amount is appreciated. $1, $5, it all helps us get a step closer to her life saving surgery.

Love Penny and Barb xo

With support from you, Penny is now booked for a consult with the canine cardiologist on May 5, 2014! From there a plan of action will be decided on.

Thank you most graciously for your donations and sharing of Penny's campaign.

We still have a long way to reach our goal, together we can make it happen.

Please, please, continue to share and donate if you are able.  xo

Penny Poptart is a 7 month old Chihuahua who has stolen my heart from the first day I met her. My shadow, constant companion, confidante, and little devil.

Seemingly a healthy puppy, eating well, tormenting her sister Bella, and her brother Casper, an all around leader of the pack.

April 15, 2014 our world changed forever. A routine vet visit for a check up and shots turned into a nightmare. Dr. Cindy explained that Penny Poptart has a grade 4 heart murmur and needs lifesaving heart surgery. Without it she will die. Statistics say that she will not survive past her first birthday.

An ultrasound is needed first to get a better understanding of how to proceed and what specific surgery is needed. There is no doubt though, without the surgery I will lose my companion.

An appointment will be made at the University of Guelph to schedule her surgery as soon as we meet our funding goal.

I appreciate you reading this far and understand that not everyone is in the position to offer financial aid. That's ok and I certainly understand.

Other ways you can help save Penny's life:

Share Penny's campaign with your social networks - Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! xo
